Washington Beefalo
The Beefalo is a new American cattle breed with 3/8 (37.5%) Bison and 5/8 (62.5%) Bovine. The Bison is also known as the American Buffalo, and it has a very harty and robust survival nature. It can convert the poor quality grass and weeds to high-quality protein (lean meat) in less time than Bovine.

The Bovine portion is usually one or more of the European beef cattle breeds such as the Black or Red Angus, Charolaise, Hereford or Simmental. The Beefalo meat was recognized by the USFDA in 1975 as a new beef; and it has less fat and higher vitamin/mineral content than other beef.
Tests have shown that regular beef eaters who switched to Beefalo beef have experienced a reduction in cholesterol (LDL). Therefore, with the extra vitamins and minerals, and the lower fat, Beefalo beef has proven to be much healthier than any other animal or plant protein.
Please take a look at the Beefalo development history and test results to see how it can become the healthiest and best tasting protein for people.
